Originating from the arid climates of North Africa and Oman, Frankincense essential oil begins life as a resin that oozes out of damaged bark.
Another name for frankincense is "Olibanum ". Early books used this name to refer to frankincense, while the English name of frankincense came from the French word "real aroma".
